DVR Self Employment Fee Schedule

Effective: September 2024

Expected service timeframes have been developed and are intended to keep the consumer moving through the self-employment process. These timeframes should be adhered to as much as possible unless agreed to by all parties. There will be some differences in completion times for each step based on the individual needs of the business and the DVR consumer.

All documents should be typed, and submitted to the consumer and DVR, in a digital, editable format. The consumer needs to be able to easily edit any documents that pertain to their pursuit of self-employment with DVR.

Feasibility Analysis Report and Meeting This service is used to determine if the consumer's proposed business idea is a viable business venture and if DVR should proceed with business plan development services. 60 days to complete this service Written Feasibility Analysis Report including:
  • Business Description
  • Operational Analysis
  • Financial Analysis
  • Business Mentorship Considerations
  • Summary of Findings

Documentation meeting between the service provider, consumer, and DVR staff occurred.

Business Plan Development Service and Business Plan Review Committee Presentation This service is used to develop a business plan that identifies the business's goals, provides quality information to assist the consumer and DVR in making decisions about the proposed business, and provides an action plan for the consumer to implement the business. Also, the provider attends the business plan review committee meeting with the consumer to provide support on the plan created and submitted.

90 days to complete this service

Note: an extension must be approved by DVR staff

Business Plan that included the following elements:
  • Title Page
  • Executive Summary
  • The Business Description
  • The Marketing Plan
  • The Operations Plan
  • The Financial Plan
  • Any Applicable Attachments

Documentation business plan review meeting between the service provider, consumer, and DVR staff occurred.

$400 after Initial business plan meeting and action plan

$4,000 for a completed business plan and business plan review meeting

Business Plan Follow-up Report, and/or Meeting This is used if the business consultant had correctly followed the business plan technical specifications and the consumer is not able to independently address the next steps outlined in the summary letter by the BPRC. 30 days to complete the service Written report including:
  • Date,

  • Method of contact,
  • Description of interaction,
  • Follow-up plan,
  • Next steps
  • Any relevant supporting documents

Business Operations Consultation and Support These consulting services are to be used after the business plan has been approved. These services are designed to ensure that the marketing, operations, and financial portions of the business plan are transpiring as anticipated. This service requires at least monthly contact by the business consultant to assess progress in implementing the action steps in the business plan and addressing any roadblocks the consumer is encountering. 30 days to complete the service Written report including:
